I don’t know about you guys but I really like looking at people’s hands. Aside from the eyes, hands are one of the first things that I look at. You can tell a lot about a person by just looking at them. Our hands are one of the most used and abused body parts and it can sometimes become pretty rough and dry after doing heavy chores and other stuff. My hands always get dry and flaky after doing the laundry. I would usually use a little bit of lotion to help keep ‘em moisturized but I sometimes like to take a step further by doing the following methods:
DIY Hand Scrub
There are a lot of hand scrubs that are being sold in the market right now and I’m sure you have at least tried one. To me, there’s nothing more exciting than creating your own hand scrub. It saves you a lot of money! Hand scrubs are great at keeping your skin soft and moisturized. It also gets rid of dead skin cells so you are sure to have the best hands ever
For this recipe, you will need 1/2 cup of brown sugar or any kind of sugar for that matter. Mix it with olive oil and the juice of a half of a lemon to create a paste. The sugar granules will help exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. Olive oil is a good moisturizer so it will keep your hands soft and moisturized. The lemon will help in bringing vitality to your skin. Use this paste and scrub it on your skin for a couple of minutes and then rinse with warm water. You will be able to get the best skin everrrr!
Gotta Love Your Hand Cream
As I have mentioned earlier, I tend to do a lot of chores and my poor hands tend to get a bit dry. Every night, I always try to pamper my skin by using liberal amounts of hand cream to keep them soft and moisturized. There’s something about its consistency that makes me feel so relaxed and pampered. Try doing this method: put a liberal amount of hand cream and lotion. Mix them together and then apply this all over your hands. Wrap a hand towel over them and let it stay on for about 15 minutes or so. At this time, you can watch TV or a movie and just relax. After that, remove the towel and you will find such soft and smooth hands!
Bring A Small Bottle of Lotion or Hand Cream In Your Purse
While you’re on the go, it is a great idea to bring with you some hand cream or lotion for quick touch-ups after washing them. This will help keep them in good condition.
These are some of my techniques for getting soft and smooth hands! What about you?
